Elegant Evelyn’s Diary, Ch. 6: Your Energy Is Your Magic Fuel, So Don’t Waste It, My Dear!

Dear Darling,

Forgive me but today is short and sweet… and I hope helpful.

Is it just me or since we all came out of our caves has life become… hmmm, how shall I put it??? …. a bit more FRANTIC?

Oh yes… my cousin Frantic Franny showed up a few times this past week wreaking havoc on my bubble of calm here in Elegant Evelyn land. She is overcrowding my calendar not to mention creating those pesky little beep beep beeps on my phone!

Fortunately, however, I brewed a pot of rose tea, filled the tub with bubbles, threw on some Ylang Ylang essential oil and got my wits about me once again. Once I was able to breathe and step back into the here and now, (rather than taking day trips to the past or rushing to the future) I was reminded of the power of managing energy vs. time.

What do I mean by this?

Well, how often do you obsess over your calendar and schedule and feel the anxiety starting to bubble up? If you’re nodding, then please, without hesitation, STOP.

Stop and realize that with TLC for your mind, body, and spirit, your mind and life tend to slow down. When things slow down you are able to grasp that for today…

  1. You are enough

  2. There is more than enough time

  3. Choosing what feels expansive vs. restrictive will elevate your energy

  4. Your “best” fluctuates day to day and that is OKAY

Let’s not make life and it’s ups and downs more serious than it needs to be. Let’s take the time to breathe, to listen, to understand that in reality, your energy is the fuel for everything in your life. Manage it, guard it like a lioness would her cubs, and by all means love yourself to the moon and back.

With love,

EE
