Turn On Your Inner Technology

How we begin our day can dictate the flow of our experiences for the next 24 hours. When we start the day with intention, we give ourselves a leg up on creating the kind of life we desire.

When you wake up, do you have your phone at your bedside? Is it the first thing you look at? Do your favorite social media sites, text messages, and emails grab your attention first and before you know it, the day is running you rather than you running your own day?

So often we check in with our “outer technology” (the news, our calendars, phones) and neglect to check our most powerful technology… our own inner spirit.

Try this short morning ritual out for the next week and see what happens:
Upon opening your eyes say…

▪ Thank You.
▪ My intention for today is to_______________.
▪ I want to feel _________________ today.

Ask your self the following question:

▪ What do I need to know to make this happen?

Finally, quiet your mind for a few minutes and simple breathe.

Checking in with our “inner technology” isn’t just for the morning. This practical tool is powerful in creating a calm and cool “vibe” throughout the day. When triggered or stressed at work or at home, take 10 seconds to recall your intention and how you want to feel… and breathe in remembering it is our reaction to situations and other people that determines our experiences.

Have a great weekend!

Meg
