The Perfection Barricade

The Perfection Barricade

“A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault.”

~John Henry Newman

How is perfectionism blocking you from moving forward in your personal or professional life? Do you feel your house needs to be spotless before allowing friends through the door? Do you cringe at the thought of not having the “right” answers during a work meeting? Do you weigh yourself every morning and allow the number to set the tone of your day?

The ironic thing is, we are never going to get it 100% right. That’s the fun part of this gig we’re all partaking in called “life.”

Give yourself a break. Be vulnerable. Chances are your friends, colleagues, and your higher self will be relieved that you aren’t so darn perfect… and trust you even more for your authenticity and courage.

Ultimately we all want to feel good in our bodies, relationships, and with the work we do in this world. When we remove the roadblocks that exist on the road to feeling the way we want to feel life tend to flow easier.
