The Daly Gem: Friendship

“Rare as is true love, true friendship is rarer.”
~Jean de La Fontaine

Take a moment and reflect on your friends. Perhaps the relationships are new, old, or rekindled from childhood days. Do they inspire you to be the best version of yourself? Do you walk away from time spent with them feeling positive, understood, and supported? Or do you feel depleted, irritated, and possibly unable to be completely authentic for fear of judgment?

The friends we spend our lives with truly do affect our being. In a way, they are a mirror to who we are and what we hold dear. Are you maintaining friendships because of the joy they bring or due to a feeling of obligation?

Take today to cherish yourself and your friends by choosing wisely whom you allow into your world. As always, do so with kindness, respect, and love.

Wishes to you for a HAPPY day!
