Move Out of Yourself

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
~Mahatma Gandhi

Feeling in a slump? A bit lonely? Step out of your own story for a bit and ponder how you may be of service to others. The good news is you don’t have to look far and can start today!

Take a panoramic view of family, friends, neighbors, work colleagues, and acquaintances. Is there a need you can fill that is easy to do and doesn’t require a huge time commitment? Perhaps a neighbor needs help walking her dog … or an elderly widow or widower might enjoy a chat or invite over for dinner…or a cousin going through a dark period in their life might find a small gift a highlight to their day.

Sometimes it’s the small gestures that make the biggest impact… to the recipient and the giver.

Wishes to you for a happy day!
