Daly Gem: Is Your Job Draining Your Energy?

As human beings we are always growing. It’s in our nature to evolve, achieve our goals, and ultimately experience happiness within ourselves and with others.

Often times, our desire to grow can either be fueled by our job…or diminished. As a result, a big question that may linger in the corner of our minds is….

SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO? (Am I the only one hearing the song in my head?!)
If this question resonates with you or someone you know, I’d love to share a simple and natural process that might alleviate the frustration and confusion.

Here you go:

1. Welcome The Discontent: I know it may sound crazy to view the pain as a gift, but it IS because it means you are awake! Your discontent is simply an alarm clock waking you up to the idea that something could be different in your life. Acknowledgement and gratitude are the starting points of any positive change.
2. Broaden Your Lens: Are you only looking at what is wrong and blocking out what is right? Our minds are powerful tools that can literally create our experiences. If we laser in on the negative, we feel negative. If we choose to embrace what IS working well, our experience tends to improve as our mind and energy elevate.
3. Stay in Your Lane: Put the focus back on you. Set some healthy boundaries…and stick to them. If you aren’t happy with the way things are, “be the change you want to see”… or in other words, control what you can control.
4. Amp Up Your Super Powers: Your gifts, talents, and values are literally your magic ingredients. Decide to show up as your most REAL and best self everyday. What does that mean? It means being vulnerable, transparent, and expressing your favorite parts of YOU!

It’s been my experience, when we step away from the drama in our jobs (and our minds sometimes!) everything begins to shift. Your energy builds and you suddenly begin to enjoy your job OR new opportunities begin flowing your way.

Hope you enjoyed today’s Gem. Have a great weekend!
